Renown's 10g planted shrimp tank

never thought i would do a journal, but i was looking back at my pic from the first month and thought i would share to you all! this is a 10g that is equipped with EHEIM filter, 2X 28W Coralife Aqualightcompact, Flourite substrate, and a DIY CO2.
it was originally a community tank, but when i saw mr. Al's thread on his mosscape, i was motivated! the fish were moved to my 45ish gallon tank later on, and i did a total renovation.

presently in this tank:
flame moss
fissiden fontanus (which is in a bunch, still havent found the perfect rock)
java moss (in a bunch as well)
java fern
anubias bateri (which has been growing on my driftwood for over a year)
'banana' plant

cherry shrimps
baby cherries (yay, finally!)
amanos
handful of ghost shrimps
'bamboo/wood' shrimps (one of which is gigantic, might i add)
vampire shrimps

from the cam's date, this was taken on Feb 19.
the newly renovated tank with the 1+ year old anubias w/ 5 bananas which are slowly dying from the last tank setup =( at this point, i hadn't bought the EHEIM yet, recession mode

month later, 3 bananas died. one blooms like mad - was curious to see how big it would bloom, so i stuck it in a crevis of the driftwood. bought a new piece of driftwood for the flame moss. the other end with java fern. and lastly, my poor attempt on a moss rope with the fissiden thats braided with twine - was unhappy with it so its in a bunch til i find a rock.

this is what it is presently. flame moss is growing rapidly (just in time for the baby cherries). with the current, all the filter-shrimps gather in one area - thought it was cool to take a group shot (3 bamboos, 2 vampires)!

vampires are hidden underneath the driftwood, ill get better pics soon!

Ghost shrimp = bad idea.
They'll eat your baby shrimp.

i was worried about that, so i asked around on this forum. ghosts seem to be dying off slowly. besides that, they're not aggressive as the ones i used to have and they seem to keep to themselves. maybe its luck?

That is one nice tank. I really wish I had some flame moss. I got some pheonix moss. You know what makes a good substrate? Play sand. I used it in my tank. Check out my journal.
