Seiryoku's 2.5g

>_>

<_<

>_<

Another FW tank...

2.5g AGA
Some 13w fixture I've been using to grow cheato in the DIY fuge on my 10g SW tank. Happens to be "day light".
No heater, don't plan on livestock...and don't need any help keeping the tank at 75-80 until fall -_-;

I need help, really! My electric bill is going to kill me this summer. I'll probably use the other empty 2.5g for a FW tank (gotta use the 18L of aqua soil up, right?). Think I'll finally put my custom 5.5g AIO SW tank into action too!

Yeah, I know the feeling...but Im more feeling the FW substrate effect right now...I accidentally special ordered 2 CASES and not 2 BAGS of Flourite Black Sand from an LFS...needless to say they made me take it so I've got 3 bags left...Paludarium time, IMO!

I've done something very similar at work before...was rather costly considering what I ordered

Added some rock to the tank, wanna be iwagumi style I guess (probably has a couple to many smaller rocks). I think the middle rock needs to be raised up (more substrate) a little and the one on the right needs to be made a little smaller and or replaced, thoughts? Also need to move the blyxa that is between the left and middle rock to the back.

Plants are in temporary spots, so they don't matter much just yet I guess. Glass is messy and there is no filter on the tank yet.

Perhaps the HC carpet with some dwarf hairgrass in the back would look nice. Or I could be crazy and line the back with blyxa, not sure if it gets to large though.

No comments on the scape?

Changed a rock and moved a plant. Need to splinter some more chunks of rock so it is nice and dark like the far right rock. That or acid etch it to get the smooth/dull finish off.

The blyxa is looking real healthy there. In my opinion though, the scape is a bit plain. Do you happen to have a bigger rock you can drop in there? Since the blyxa looks much taller it gets all the attention

I'll have to whack one of my larger rocks with the sledge to break it a little, should be able to get the right size/shape. The blyxa is temporary, probably going to try HC with dwarf hair grass in the background.

Thanks for the input

Nice little tank! I like it! But IMO you need a bigger rock, or maybe more smaller ones? I also would add some kind of fishy in there or something, just to get some action, but thats just me
Oh and can I get a number to the addiction hotline, I have a 14g and 55g to be set up, and thinking of doing something like 2.5g for my bedside table... ssshhhhh it's a secret my hubby doesn't know yet LOL
