krisco's 29 gallon

Well, this will be my 29 gallon journal. This is only the second planted tank i have done, so I am in need of criticism and advice if you guys and gals have time for that.

I bought the below 29 gallon off a friend for $70 bucks.

I restained it, spray painted the light fixture, and replaced it with a 55w from ahsupply. I then ordered a 9325k light and this is what it looks like now.

For this aquarium I will be using the following:
55watt power compact with 9325k lumens
rena filstar xp2 cannister filter
eco complete substrate
pressurized co2
EI fertilizing
A koralia 1 for circulation
a diy co2 reactor pictured below:

Now most of my plants are arriving, and it is time to do the hardscape. I have the following materials to work with:

Now, what do you guys think of the hardscape. Looking for criticisms or worshipping(j/k, I know there won't be worshipping.) Don't have a lot of experience. Looks a little sharp to me though.

wood is awesome but for some reason it looks cramped like its too close to the glass on the left side. i love the pic wityh the larger stones but it looks a bit too symetrical. the driftwood and pile of stones look exactly the same distance from the glass on each side. think thats what does it...too me looks a bit too placed.

cool. I get what you are saying. I will do some rearranging tomorrow when i get home from work and post some pics when i get my batteries for the camara recharged. I see why people spend so much time on this phase of aquarium setup.

that's the fun part. Rescape it over and over again.

Btw the lone piece of rock behind looks too isolated to me. May be you can try placing the 3 rocks closer for a cohesive look

Patience is the name of the game.

Valley I am mixed between a little hc trail, or white sand or pebbles. I was thinking white sand would look the best. I have some pool filter sand. Maybe.

I redid the hardscape a little and wanted to see if you guys think it is better. I feel the last rock on the right isn't right. Maybe it needs to just come out?
