Valthenya's ten gallon

Ok so i'm rescaping this weekend and i thought i'd start a journal and get some input...


Ok so here's my equipment and the equipment i will be getting eventually

-27 watt desk lamp (will be upgraded to fishneedit 48watt when they get instock)
-pressurized CO2
-flourite substrate and ada sand
-rena hang on back filter (hopefully upgrade to a canister one day if you knwo of a good mini canister for a ten gallon let me know)


the grey is rocks the big stick is well a big stick lol

You might want to off center your sand a little. That way it will look a little more natural. Have fun rescaping!

Ok first off i will say this ... THAT WAS A HELL OF ALOT OF WORK... soooo let me know what you think be honest but not too brutal i just spent what felt like 5 hours over top of a tank and boy let me tell you hillstream loaches are hard little buggers to catch... anyways on to the pics. The pics of the new scape are very dusty as i just got done so i'll take better pics tomarrow when all the fish are aout and a bout a bit more and it settles down a bit (and i set my co2 up, its too late tonight and i dont have a drop checker so i have to keep a close eye on it)

After five hours of backbreaking cup pouring tweezer throwing work...


oh yeah and i got a good otto shot the other day here ya go

Is that ADA Aquasoil in the last pic?

And why'd you combine Flourite and powersand? Seems like a strange combination to me

its ada in the last pic but thats a diff tank i just like the pic. its not power sand its ada branco sand actually and its my river...
