Aren't you worried about the shrimp with the Rams? Great shaping btw, I really like the driftwood setup.

I've put some risk into the idea of keeping the Rams and shrimp together, however most of the Rams are still small, and the shrimp are all large enough to not fit in their mouths. However, If need be i may seperate them and create a planted tank solely for shrimp.

Hooked up my Co2 system this morning, hoping to kickstart the new plant growth. The staurogyne repens was from my previous tank and was well established, as well as the swords and anubias on the driftwood. However my pogostemon helferi was from a package in petsmart along with the alternanthera reineckii, micro swords, and crypts. Experiencing melting on the reineckii but everything else seems to be growing strong.

So it's been a couple of days, recently had an ich outbreak in my tank, lost 2 of my neons (even though no signs of ich were present on them) and the tank has grown quite a bit of algae, mainly because I tried the " heat " method to cure the ich infestation and I turned my co2 off to help keep the water oxygenated. I had an airstone in as well. Decided to just take a day and setup a quarantine tank for all of my fish to stay in for a week or so and treat them with methylene blue. Gonna get back to running my co2 which will hopefully solve my newfound algae problem. Keeping the fish out of the tank for a week should kill off any remaining ich parasites floating in the water column. Heat will stay around 80 F. Managed to pick up some pellia ( Monosolenium tenerum ) today at the reptile expo in Hamburg PA, so I attached that to my upside down "U" shaped peice of driftwood with fishing line. Hoping to create a mossy cave-like entrance to that portion of the tank. Also picked up some hatchling turtles at the expo for any of those turtle lovers out there like myself. Two hatchling razorback musks, a Three-striped mud and a hypo snapper.
