So over the past 7 or 8 months I've been growing Erios in my 75g. I'm not sure of the exact species. When I did a trim and maintenanced my tank, I discovered I had TONS of Erios plantlets. Usually the only thing I do with the Erios is trim off it's flower buds. It seems to keep the plant healthy and growing.
Here's the 75g they came from:
Anyway with all this spare Erios I decided to take the plantlets and use them to make a carpet in a 20g. I'm not sure how this will work, and I'm trying sand as a substrate for the first time. We'll see.
-20 gallon Long
-36 inch fluval full spectrum plant light LED. Got it for about 50% off instore. It's actually extremely bright in a 20L
-Fluval 206 filter + aquaclear 50 for 1 week with carbon and fiber
-Substrate is carb sea sand. At the bottom I sprinkled some Osmocote+.
-Co2 is pressurized diffused with a GLA atomizer directly under filter intake. Works EXTREMELY well
7x cardy tetras
I'm hoping that the erios will grow wide and green. :')
