Clayman65's Mr Aqua 7.5 bowfront Iwagumi

Got a Mr Aqua 7.5 bowfront with a Finnex Fugeray led, Eco complete substrate, sun sun 603 canister filter, and a Milwaukee ma957 regulator. Going to set the tank up as an Iwagumi with either a Hc or Monte Carlo carpet, some dwarf hairgrass around the rocks and maybe some alternanthera reineckii mini in the back left corner. Looking at getting a small school of chili rasboras and maybe red cherry shrimp.

Got my co2 system all set up and dialed in on my Mr Aqua 7.5 bowfront and took some plants from my 36 to get a start on it. Got a few small clumps of micranthemum umbrosum "Monte Carlo" in the front still need to get some more to get it to fill in and carpet quicker. Have lilaeopsis brasiliensis on the right and left and a few clumps around the big rocks on the left. Rotala rotundifolia in the back right corner and some hydrocotyle Japan in the back middle. Still want to get some alternanthera reineckii mini for the back left corner. Im going to let the plants fill in for a month or two then stock it with a small school of chili rasboras and some neocaridina shrimp.

I like it so far. The pump was too close to the canister body out of the box and it vibrated like crazy, but a piece of foam between the two and it runs quiet. The flow seems about perfect for this size tank. And can't beat $26 shipped either. Hopefully it lasts a while.

Added the rest of my plants. Alternanthera reineckii mini in the back left, staurogyne repens in the middle and some ludwigia in the right corner. Now time to let it grow in for a little bit and then add some shrimp.

Week 2

Getting a little algae all over the place. Some fuzz algae on the rotala, diatoms on some plants, rocks and substrate and some green algae on the rocks.

Haven't posted an update for a while. Changed some plants up. The s repens and ar mini wasn't doing very good so I took them out and added in some various rotalas and more ludwigia red. The shrimp are doing good and even have a berried female.
