33g Dirted Riparium

About a year ago I moved and decided to get rid of my aquarium; gave it to a school, was hard it was finely starting to mature. I told myself that I would not start another aquarium till I knew that I was no longer planing to move..... seems like I just can't stop.
So here is my new setup/experiment:
Low Tech with earthworm casting and capped with sand.
Lights: 39W T5HO with another on for 4 hours, this will take some adjusting never tried pendent light before.
Have had a hard time with tropical plants that can live immersed....trial and error. So far lemongrass, mint from grocery, mondo grass and some others just labeled as tropical. I will keep trying different herbs. Yum food from aquarium!

It is my first journal and riparium.
