My Craigslist Tank

Not a journal but wanted to give a look at my Craigslist tank and (obviously) homemade stand. My wife says the stand is a lot like me - looks good from a distance but you see things are just a little bit off when you get closer. Clearly she needs her prescription checked 'cause I look good at any distance - she's right about the stand, though...

Since every tank needs a name I'm calling mine "Why Did I Have That Last Margarita":

Usually you do but I don't see any current making devices like a spray bar or Hydor
Wave maker etc.
Lots of nice plants though. Hope they grow well for you in there. Is that a 90g ?
In spite of the difficulties of lighting and plant choices they have I still tend to
like the taller ones. The opposit of my cramped 10g tanks. Finding 3" tall plants that don't have high light requirements is a, well you know.
Now what you need is a school of Ember Tetras...LOL...
If you could find a couple of them maybe show her a picture of the spider web
of wires etc under tanks/w metal frame stands and she will love your stand after that.

The shortest distance between any two points is a straight line...in the opposite direction...

I love your plant assortment. What all do you have in there? What are some of the other specs? Tank size, lighting, filtration, substrate, etc.

Hi Raymond S. and ROYWS3,

Thanks for the questions. As I wrote in another thread, the tank currently contains:

3 Condor Corys
3 Bushynose Plecos (black with whitish spots and white flash on tail)
1 Bushynose Pleco ('Super Red')
1
3 Otos
6 CPDs
2 Aphyosemion Australe ('Gold Killifish')
6 Ember Tetras
2 Apistogramma Cacatuoides ('Orange Flash')

For plants there are:

Limnophila Aromatica
Dwarf Echinodorus Parviforus (Amazon Sword)
Anubia Nana
Anubia 'Petite'
Vallisneria Asiatica (Jungle Val)
Cabomba Purple
Isoetes lacustris (Octopus Plant)
Ludwigia hybrid species 'Red'

And a couple others whose names escape me.

It's a 90 gallon tank I bought off Craigslist thinking, at the time and as I didn't know what to look out for, that I had gotten a good deal. I've since had to reseal the tank and throwout the stand that came with it. I've also found some minor scratches that I didn't know were there when I purchased it. Fortunately, it's an in home enjoy tank not a display piece so we're happy with it and the flora and fauna in it don't seem to care.

It's being filtered by a Aquatop SunSun HW-304B. The spraybar is in the upper right pointing down to the left side of the tank and the intake is in the back bottom left corner. There is a JEBO/Lifetech AP1500 Aquarium Power Head in the back right for added circulation. Two Planted Plus lights power plant growth (probably could use a third) and tanked CO2 is running at the moment into the tank via one of them ladder type diffusers at several bubbles per second. Oh, and I have an air pump running lightly to feed to the air wall in the bottom back of the tank providing additional O2 for the fishies and some added circulation. There's the usual heater and I keep the temp around 76F.

It's been a lot of fun and it helps to keep me from having any spare time...

Oh, and being as I live in the Pacific Northwest north of Seattle, today I have to add:

Go 'Hawks!
