My first planted 55 gallon tank

Here is my first planted tank. It is a 55 gallon and it is in process.
Sorry about the crappy pictures--the camera sucks.

its always a pain to ait for the plants to frow out when your first start. mine looked the same way when i started out with plants. soon enough you'll be getting rid of extra clipping.

Waiting for the plants to grow is always the hardest part of setting up a planted tank. Some tall swords would look awesome along the back wall of the tank. Keep us posted as the tank progresses.

Good start, I like the layout. I love swords! I miss mine. What kind of fish do you have?

Without Algae, death of mankind would be inevitable.

The tank looks great.

Just one thing though. The three plants that are front and center are not aquatic plants and will die if left in your tank.

btw, the white ribbons in the front aren't even semi-aquatic. You can take them out of the water and plant them in a pot and they look great! haha, its a good way to save yourself from getting ripped off by fish stores, I bought some a while ago without even intending to put them in a tank, they just look cool in a pot :P

I love that driftwood, colors vibrant! Are you gonna but moss over it?
Isn't that driftwood arrangement look kinda too symmetrical to you, or its just me?

Here is a 10 gallon tank that we started:

It's much easier to think of designs for a 10 gallon than a bigger tank!
