10 gallon shrimp + nanofish themed

Well 3 weeks of winter break are over now and I came back to school to find my tank half empty and the fish very hungry. Some plants were very stunted and others were pretty much the way I left them. I saved whatever looked good and added some new drift wood and indian almond leaves. I also removed all the Pseudomugil signifer rainbow fish I had in it because they were definitely eating a lot of my yellow shrimp babies. I have mostly small nano fish and algae eaters now, so hopefully the shrimp will be more successful at reproduction. I had 2 red claw shrimp that turned out to be a pair and the female is now carrying eggs. The odd thing is I heard that males are usually larger but the male is rather smaller than the female. I will take a picture of them when they come out. The water is still a bit stained with tannins but I added purigen to the filter so that ought to clear up. I'm hoping to introduce some tiger shrimp in the near future as well.

Here is a link to what the tank looked like before I went home for christmas.

Here is what it looks like now.

Lighting- 65 watts
Filter- Aquaclear 30 + powerhead
Substrate- Florabase
DIY CO2

20% water changes every week

Flora:
Blyxa aubertii
Fissidens sp.
Floaters
Murdannia sp. 'Red'
Rotala sp. 'Viet Nam'
Subwassertang
Trident Java Fern

Fauna:
8 Boraras brigittae
5 Rasbora dorsiocellata
3 otocinclus
2 Pseudomugil gertrudae
1 cardinal tetra
2 Red Claw shrimp
?? Yellow shrimp

It might seem a little overstocked but the fish are rather small so I think things are going to go well.

Tell me what you guys think! Comments and criticism are welcomed!

looks like dried almond leaves, antibacterial, good for shrimp breeding too, soften water and makes it slightly acidic.

Yup those are almond leaves. I tossed in a lot for the shrimp to hide in and they seem to love picking at it.
