1 Month Update!

Final Stock
20 Harlequin Rasbora
10 Ghost Shrimp
5 Julii
4 Oto
2 Amano
2 Nerites
1 Mystery
1 Betta

I big time overstocked... Who wants a Betta & a Mystery Snail?

Other than my impulsive nature to buy fish, all the plants are doing okay. My Co2 is at 4-5bps now and I'm dosing micros every Sun & Wed. Iron was today. I get my macros in soon.

Anyone have any tips on growing Lilaeopsis brasiliensis (microsword)? I have them spread out, and a good amount of circulation around them. I also pulled out a couple stems of the hygro because it was getting a bit out of hand.

So, this crashed not too long after the last update, I didn't have my dosing correct, didnt know what I was doing with co2, my lights probably were not enough, and frankly, I was too new into the high-tech world to know what I was doing. Stopped dosing, and majority died. Just low-light and plants and moss. Then I added more lights and a batch of GLA ferts to start my regiment up.

about February 2016

March 2016

Couple months went on, got laid off a job then found a new one, so I wanted to somewhat re-start the tank.

May 2016

June 2016

August/September 2016

I really liked this stage, but I wanted to give the fish more room to swim, so I took out the Java Fern log and re-scaped a bit. monte carlo really took off and this is where the downoi started its slow decline.

October/November 2016

December 2016

I'm still not happy with it. I need to trim this weekend and replant the tops. Then group them together better.

Happy New Year! Did some trimming and found a couple cool rili-type RCS in here.

Pretty good color on this one. I'm pretty sure there are a couple more in this tank.

Trimmed again after increasing dosing and after my bubble counter cracked. I think I was at 5-6 bps before it cracked and now my diffuser is just connected to a check valve.

wow! You've gone through some awesome scapes in this tank! I with my 20L looked half as good as any of these! I need more practice!

Still loving it.

Toying with the idea of setting up a dirted 40 Breeder dutch.

Wifey sauce said to me the other day, " hey hun, a fishtank would look good over here in this corner". if thats not permission to setup another tank I dont know what is....

Thanks! A lot of reading and trying to figure out what plants I can grow with my water took lots of time. I still can't get downoi to grow well. Not sure why. Its fun though.

That would be very cool, but if I learned one thing from this tank, dirt and dutch is pretty difficult. If I want to trim, uproot and plant tops for one stem, the tank is super cloudy. I've been wanting to transform this into an iwagumi, but I want to wait until I find the correct rocks and I'm also dreading the day I have to switch out the substrate. But other than that, I would actually like your take on a dutch. I remember your 3gal setup it was gorgeous.
