My 75 Gallon Journey Into Planted Tanks

My tank has been up and running for about 10 months but I didn't think to start a journal. I just posted random pics so I'm putting it altogether here.

There were a lot of changes.

The Great Stuff was to build mountains and the outline for the stream bed but I pulled it out.

Thanks for looking.

This brings you from March 2014 till today, January 6, 2015.

I'm still moving plants around. LOL

It's a never ending work in progress.

Very pretty tank. Is that foam insulator you used to make the hills and stuff?

Thank you.

It was Great Stuff, yes the spray can insulator. It didn't work. Although it stuck to the bottom of the tank, it started lifting off. Even the dirt and Black Diamond Cap sand didn't hold it down.

It's always a good thing when you open a thread and learn a few things. Your tank looks fantastic and a hat tip for sharing your technique for putting it together.

good job, I didn't originally like the scape in the beginning but it has filled in so lovely. Like an organized jungle

Thank you.

I'm glad you said it looks like an organized jungle. That's basically what I'm trying to achieve.

Very full looking scape! Love all the textures going on. Driftwood is nice too!

Beautiful tank! Really draws your eye in and what an incredible job on all the plants. Love the branch placement and the fullness of the vegetation. I think those fish and shrimp are in heaven.

Thank ya'll, so much!

My light went out and it took over a month to get it replaced so I lost a lot of plants. It looks pretty sad right now but they're starting to come back.
