I decided to redo my 5 gallon low-tech Betta tank using the Walstad method.
I have been working on my 75 gallon high tech tank for about a year. A month ago I decided to restart it and have enjoyed/enjoy the learning process.
6 months ago I put together a one gallon no tech. I put some ADA Amazonian soil, plants
from my existing tanks, some water and a pond snail. Only thing I have done with it is remove some Hornwort to use in other tanks
I have read Diana Walstad's book "Ecology of the Planted Aquarium" a couple times and decided that I would like to try her process out on one of my low tech tanks. The tank will be somewhere between the two. Closer to the no tech tank.
I think my husband is looking forward to spring when I can get outside and garden instead of redoing tanks.
