"Trial and error" 10 gallon

Here's my first "real" planted tank. I received the plants a couple of weeks ago. The plants are: dwarf sag, E. tenellus, pennywort, baby tears, red crypt, and anubias.

I am running 2x 20 watt 10,000K flourescents 9 hours a day. Dosing with Flourish and Excel, and just put in some root tabs a couple of days ago. I have ordered N, P, K, and Iron ferts online so they are on their way.

I have not had any problems with algae yet, however some of the E. tenellus leaves are browning. I am guessing this is a result of low nutrient levels.

Any comments/criticism is more than welcome. Keep in mind that I am learning as I go.

I really like your plant sections.

I'm not a big fan of printed back grounds though, and i think it would look better with a simple solid color. Just my simple opinion.

thanks for sharing.

Looks like a great start With that "high" light, I'm not sure if Excel is enough...could you set up a DIY CO2 system?

I'll probably look at setting up a DIY CO2 system in the next few days. Can I just put an airstone on the end of the tubing?

Yeah, and airstone would be ok (not the greatest) for diffusing CO2.
