So my needing to upgrade the lighting on my 10g ultimately led to me just upgrading the tank.
This is a funny sized (20 uk gallons, ie 24"x14"x16") rimless tank that I got smokin' cheap at the lfs.
Most of the plants are just moved over from my 10gallon. The bushy red stuff in the back, the vals, and the red plant center left are new. I did look up what the red plant on the left is, just can't think of the name right now. The bushy stuff isn't in my book, but looks like a variety of cabomba or something similar.
The left side and foreground are planted with dwarf hairgrass, which should grow in nicely. I'm going to try and make a java moss carpet for in around the base of the wood (I've got some crypts planted in under there too).
Substrate is fluorite mixed with GEO systems gravel. Lighting is 65W daylight CF, and 65W 400nm CF. I'm thinking of pulling my pressurized CO2 out of my 90, and putting it in there. It's causing nothing but problems in the 90, and I figure the new tank is higher light, so could use it more.
Filtration is a Magnum HOT rated 250gph.
Fauna are panda cories, amano shrimp, and a bunch of platies. I'm ultimately going to add a couple of ottos, and probably a couple GBR plus a few small schooling tetras (rummy noses maybe?). Hopefully GBR and tetras will eat up some of the platy fry so I don't have so many...
Without further ado:
Comments on the scape welcome. The wood and rocks come from the Fraser River near my house. I just boiled the heck out of them.
The rocks on the left I plan to eventually move/rearrange. However, right now, they're helping the stem plant there to stay planted
