29 gallon upgrade

so i have decided that i cannot let my dad have all the fun setting up his 125g tank so i went out on a limb and bought a 29 gallon gallon tank. (a small upgrade from my 20g but it gives me some more options when it comes to stocking.) so here is what i have so far

ehiem 2213 from the 20 gallon.
plastic heater that is rated for a 55g
Milwaukee co2 regulator with a 5lb tank
65w coralife fixture.
and fertilizers from green leaf aquariums

i hope to get
a coralife 30" t5 fixture
and a power head for some additional circulation.

my local fish store carries ADA products so i am will most likely use aquasoil and i have been soaking some driftwood for couple of weeks now

here are some picks of what i have so far.

the tank being panted with some trusty black spray paint.

the stand which i got at target for 30 bucks not to bad of a deal

the stand does have a few modifications if you were wondering about its strength the top is reinforced with 2 by 3s and the back is renforced with a 1 by 6.

the stand is quite strong i have had the tank sitting on it for quite a few days and it seems just fine.

i am not sure on what to stock i have nine rasboras in my 20g and would like to transfer them but im not sure what else to put in i was think blue rams but that seems alittle over done. any comments sugjestions.

more updates soon

by the way i went and saw my dads tank in person today it is awesome all the plants are pearling like crazy and the growth is fenomanal.

Nice start! You could try Apistos or Pelvicachromis? I'm getting a trio of A. borelli hopefully today for my 20g. Have fun setting it up!

Be careful with your stand. I doubt it was intended to hold 300 lbs. I notice it has fiber board on the back, so you have no structure there. Just take it easy.
