"The Wasteland" 40B tank

Another of my 40B tanks I call "The Wasteland". I originally tried to stand the wood up, but lost patience as I didn't have my zip ties handy. So I just randomly dropped the wood and let it land where it wanted to. After staring at it for a few days, I started to like it so I added a few plants. Currently it just houses 2 yo-yo loaches and 2 otos. I plan on moving my wild caught gambusia in this tank in the near future. Flora - Blyxa japonica, Limnophila seesiflora, Ludwigia brevipes. I'm trying to keep it as low tech as possible.

Thumbs up

Hello cah925
To be honest… you where right to just let the wood fall where they lay. I really works for this tank. I bet the Yo-yo’s love it. Good Job

Yes, the yoyo's and the otos love it. As soon as the wood hit the bottom they were all over it.

Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing with the cords. It's all part of "the farm". 4X 40 gal breeders. 2 high tech tanks on top, 2 low tech on the bottom.
Here's links to upper right & lower left tanks. The upper left tank is having issues and will be gutted soon and rescaped using the mineralized soil method.

I've tried organizing the cords, but they come from everywhere and being up against the wall like they are it's hard to get back there to do anything about it. Today I came up with the idea of getting some plexi-glass cut to fit the back opening and just paint it and slide it into place. I figured I could do each side a different color and then I could just flip it for a different look.
