CrimsonKeel's 110 "Cool Waves" Journal (56k !!)

So I finally am getting around to uploading pictures for my 110 i set up a month or so ago.
Well So i started with planted tanks a couple years ago and this last winter grew out of my 55 gallon tank by putting high light on it with no co2
Before lights

this is the result after lights

A UV steralizor later and we were off and rolling. So i figured out how to grow plants.
Final results before getting my New tank were this

Note this tank was not originally set up for plants it had poor aquarium gravel (aka Clown Rock), an undergravel filter and just the crap lights that came with it.

So onto the New tank

110 gallon tank 48"x24"x24" on a black stand.
4x65 watt CF 6700k AH supply lighting (two broken bulbs right now)
Rex Grigg regulator 10 lb tank
Diffuser is a cheap ceramic bubbler bubbling into the intake of my eheim
Filtration: Ehiem 2236 (yes i know i need more) supplamented with a powerhead
Substrate: Soil master select (SMS) Charcoal ~ 75 pounds worth(1.5 bags)
Hardscape: Manzanita

Flora: Corkscrew vals, Brazilian pennywort, Rotala indica, Cabomba furcata, E. Tennalus (two varieties i think), Lilaeopsis brasiliensis "micro sword", Marsilea hirsuta, StarGrass, Crypt Wendetii, Crypt Retrospiralus, hottonia palustris, bacopa caroliniana, Potamageton Gayi, Flame Moss, Sunset Hygro, Lots of algae
I'm kinda of trying some stuff out right now see what grows what i like and what not

Fauna: 1 Bristlenose Pleco, 1 Leapard Pleco, ~7 LyreTail GoldWag Swordtail, ~6 otocinclus, 15 or so Fancy Guppies (males only), 9 White Cloud minnows, MTS

Let us know how long it takes your water to clear up LOL. Good luck, I like the big tank journals because I don't have room for a tank of this size so it's fun to look at them.

Crypt (not sure exact name on this one)

Half full planted a few things in foreground

little more full

Finally full

Vals planted on end: plan is to eventually not need a background but had vals rimming around the whole right side and back of tank.

Tank Cleared up within a day though everything was covered in a fine coat of dust.
Sadly i Dont have pictures of that

Couple Pictures from 8/13/08
Fighting massive algae here. Hair algae, some sort of brown Dust algae, Green spot algae, and lots of Staghorn

Sorry about the tilted picture but here you can see the algae covering my Flame moss on the branches

Shot of my Foreground E.Tennalus

Closer shot showing algae ( if only there was a market for algae growers in this hobby)

So I need more filtration But I really don't have a ton to spend right now.
Options are:
Eheim ECCO 2236 (already one on it now which i like alot) $94
Eheim Classic 2217 (~$115)
Eheim Pro II 2028 $239 (will need to save up for this one)

Most likely Ill go with another ECCO mainly due to the price i can get it for.
I know Most people on here love the Classics and Ive heard good things about the PRO just not sure I can afford it right now.
Anyone got some insight on this ?

Ive heard the ecco's arent as good as the classics. I would get the 2217 if it will take too long to save up for the pro
