Planted 10gall&pico journal

Well I decided to just combine the two. I started the 10gall a while back, but I just waited till it was cycled... leaving out that borning time inbetween with nothing to post about, anyways. here are the specs on it

10gall w/stand
flourite black/tahaitan black moon sand
aquaclear 50
visitherm delux 75watt
Maxijet 600 to desperse DIY Co2
and 65watt, 10,000k light... I am waiting for the actual 10,000k bulb as right now all I have is a 50/50 bulb that the fixture came with.... do you think that 65 watts is overkill on the 10gall? I am just worried about algae...

well the reason the water level is so low is cause the filter over flowed all over my hardwood... lets not tell my mom ok LOL. I fixed that but I didnt feel like takeing another pic so this will have to suffice. Also I am waiting for my driftwood...which is soaking... I hate waiting

and the pico... this thing is a tiny little thing from target... cost me about $3.50. I just thought it would be fun to see if I could get it to grow, and have my mom convinced its a science project...

Cool tanks! The tiny one sure is TINY! But it looks pretty cool! I'll be watching this thread to see how everything grows in!

It looks great, but I gotta tell you, I think you will have better luck with that pico if you use fine sand. That substrate you have in there right now looks a little large, and throws off the scale.
