Planted Discus Tank from Oz

Having a go at setting up a planted tank with co2.

OLD - 70's inspired cabinet with lovely brass knobs. Currently housing 5 discus, 4 rummy noses, small school neons, 3 bolivian butterflies and 1 flying fox. Plants are just whatever went in. Eheim 2227 running as wet only, with 4 foot t5 54w x 2.

NEW - AquaOne Grande 120 75 gallons. The filter sits in the back section of the hood while the 3x30 watt lights sits in the front. Both units are separate so either can be removed. Filter isn't too fantastic so plan is to scrap it and run my current Eheim 2227 and add another Eheim 2218. Where the back filter section is, I will add the T5's. This should give me a total of 198 watts of light. Substrate is 5 bags of JBL AquaBasic which I haven't found a great deal on when internet searching and top it off with 2-3 bags of eco-complete. (still to purchase as nearest stockist is 4 hours away).

I have picked up a great piece of driftwood but it is finding it a tad difficult finding a place for it. Pics to follow if I can work it out.

hey

stunning piece of driftwood, i would sand down the edges where the cuts have been made, try and break them or round them off a bit, the straight lines are very unnatural looking...

other than that, looking good, cant wait to see how it turns out
