3g Eclipse Hex RCS tank

This is the first time I have had any success with RCS. I have spent sooo much $$ in the past just to watch them die and disappear. I credit this to Gabes' Shirakura Shrimp food and the fact that this is a species planted tank.

The 2 micro rasboras and 1 male endler have been removed. I caught them picking off the tiniest baby shrimp.

How about a FTS? Looks good from what I see though. Congrats on keeping them alive finally. I have been there.

The tank looks great! Is that a 3 or 5 gallon hex? And what type of wood/branches did you use? Very nice!

Thanks for the compliments!

It's a 5g Ecilpse Hex w/a compact florescent 10W, eco complete, lace java ferns, clump of Subwassertang with some tied on the driftwood. No Co2, no ferts really except for a drop or two of Flourish every so often.

Driftwood from APC member "FishandTurtleJunkie" aka "Badcopnofishtank" here. Very, very nice Manzanita driftwood. Good prices and gives you lots of extra pieces.

More pic different angles:

You almost see a double image because of the hex shape.

That is really sweet looking!
Puts my 5hex shrimp tank to shame---large rock with java moss, but it works for the shrimp so who am I to complain...
