Nice setup! Awesome first post.

What about the dark spot in the middle of the tank? If you have the resources, 3x HQI would light the tank better.

I have plants that require low light
only roseafolia and cabomba are more requirements
and these plants are down 2 each HQI

that is why I did not see the need to turn HQI center lamp

saludos

Bienvenido... se ve muy bien.

Do you add any fertilizers? Do you feel that the Phosguard is necessary? Many of us actually add phosphates to keep plants happy.

You might want to consider a bigger CO2 tank... sounds like a lot of effort to exchange the tank monthly.

Maybe some 6500K bulbs would be perfect?

Hopefully the stand holds...

Gracias por ensenarnos tu acuario.

WASSERPEST.....

Question 1 ... add KNO3 every week ....

Question 2 .... phosguard if necessary to take phosphates to a minimum level. discus fish are a lot of food and this adds phosphate producing algae.

Question 3 .... I have 3 deposits C02 (2 PAINTBALL 1 NORMAL 2KGS) .

6500 K cost 70 dlls the HQI ... IN mty mexico

4200k CRI 9 THIS LIGHT OF DAY COST 12 DLLS ..(philips and osram)

I did not see a need to buy it because you install HQI 4200k
CRI has a 9 is perfect in planted tank

being this light of day.

more pics ....

Bienvenidos - Cuantos litros son? Se ve grandisima...como 130g?

1 bubble a second seems like very little co2 for an aquarium that big.

Unique stand - is that granite too that the tank is sitting on?

Quick interpretation
cangrats on your tank, very natural looking. I think everyone is right you need a larger CO2 tank. Maybe 5 or 10 lbs. There are adaptors for the red sea regulator to make the conversion. Ive seen 6500k bulbs on ebay for about $15. Is there any links to aquarium forums in Spanish? I would like to see them.

Wink

para MARIMO BALL---- HOLA AMIGO ... SOY MODERADOR DE UNA PAGINA DE MEXICO LLAMADA ACUAMUNPLANTAS

http://www.acuamunplantas.com/forum.php

TAMBIEN EN ESPAŅOL HAY MUCHAS PAGINAS DE ACUARIOS PLANTADOS .
EN COLOMBIA Y ARGENTINA.

http://www.acuaristas.cl/

SON PAGINAS MUY RECOMENDABLES POR BRICOLAJES Y DEMAS COSAS QUE HACEN .

esta tambien el dr pez. ...de espaņa.que esta completisima

http://www.drpez.net/portal/

response to ............ .macclellan

2 meter large ...x 50 cms x 30

if little bubble 1 per second .. but I have taken into account discus fish.

This duality discus fish with aquatic plants have to handle well the co2

you have to plant your dose and does not affect the discus fish .

give plants their dose
without affecting fish

aquarium its granite base is reinforced with steel rod

then to be about 2 stones

tolerated until 1 1/2 ton of weight
