I call this one the ugly blue beginning

This is a little better. Got a new lightbulb!!

adding things... it's addicting...

small changes

Went away to Turkey.. came home to this!! EEK!!!

And this is after a major clean up, some Excel, and a little plant changing...

Here are my little puff-puffs. I adore my little ones....

Birds: Hahn's Macaw (Mia), Parrotlet (Millie), 2 Parakeets (Pixie and Pete)
Dogs: Boston Terrier (Wilbur), Bichon mix (Toby)
Tanks: 20L turtle tank
30 gallon salt water reef

Very nice tank - I'd be a little worried about those shrimp though!

They've been in together since the beginning. My RCS are breeding and the puffers don't even care about the tiny little shrimp fry!!!! They're happy eating blood worms and snails and don't even look twice at the shrimp!
I managed to luck out!

Very nice progression!

What is the plant in the close-up puffer pic? The plant directly to the right of the mosses. Looks like a hygro species?

Nice tank you got there! How is it the puffers are leaving those shrimp alone?!

My experience with dwarf puffers and shrimp, they tend not to bother the adult shrimp. But I really never saw any baby shrimp, I wonder why.

I have about 5 new babies in there right now, we'll see how they do. I haven't seen them showing too much interest in them yet but we'll see

When I was doing my research on dwarf puffers I met a lot of people who kept shrimp with DP with no problems. It's a chance. I put them in there before the DPs and when I put the puffers in they never really even nipped at them. I had a backup tank ready for the shrimp if there was going to be a problem.
The shrimp actually have been breeding. I just got my first "baby batch" and so far- all 5 are ok!
I've only lost 1 shrimp since setting up this tank and it was to my filter intake
