Found this tank @ LFS. Had to have it because this model was the 1st aquarium I had as a child. The glass was scratched & etched in various places & had a small leak in a corner. Removed & cleaned off all black sealant & resealed w/ clear silicone. Was put into service to hold left over plants from other projects and to see the results of natural sunlight on on plant growth compared to indoor LED lighting.
When originally started, had HC growing in the foreground but the growth was stringy and more vertical than horizontal. About 3 weeks ago, removed HC & planted w/ Glosso. A week ago, trimmed back the E. tenellus along the front to allow the Glosso to fill in.
In the near future if all goes as planned, will remove the central patch of H. glomeratus and replace with a driftwood hardscape element made of guava roots that was superglued together & attached "Trident" java fern in it's place.
