My first planted tank: 24g aquapod, please critique

A pic of my first planted tank, 24g aquapod. I am planning on adding more Carinals and a few Emporer Tetras. Please critique and give me any feedback/suggestions.

I have a Hagen yeast CO2 and I am planning on adding a 2 liter bottle to it and I am currently dosing with Excel. I also ordered some more ferts and will have them shortly.

Thanks,

i think it looks nice, although there doesn't seem to be much of a scape to it. i think you could rearrange things around to give more of a focal point and then work off it. use the wood somehow? not sure....hmmmm

Your first tank? Seriously? No joke? You're not pulling our legs?

THAT IS GREAT!

You should have seen my first tank, it was horrible. If I'd started off like this, I bet I'd be even more hooked than I am now. Very nice job! Can't wait to see that HC fill in!

First tank, although I am really into gardening and I have a small barrel pond. I don't know if that counts? Thanks for the compliment.

I would like to do more to make a focal point, maybe add a very small pice of driftwood, and certainly some more plants, and re-arrange the back left and mayber back right of the tank. I guess we are always changing things.

Wow.. its not fair. My tanks look like junk compared to yours! Does an aquapod work good for planted tanks?

Thanks for checking it out. I was thinking of making a path with the HC going in between the driftwood and all the way to the back of the tank, in addition to adding one or two more small pieces of wood. I started to make a path with HC but it doesn't go all the way to the back.

dont worry, itll grow. besides you shouldnt plant it in huge clumps like that. its better to split it into individual stems and plant each one seperately. its annoying, but makes things go much faster and better. i planted HC like that and it dyed in a month. then i bought more and planted individually, its still alive (though its not really growing much, but thats probably because i have too large gravel for it).

I'm not sure I agree. But maybe it could look better with the wood rearranged. I like it the way it is, personally.
