in the next couple of days i am going to start buying stuff so if you guys could just tell me some good stuff to buy, and i am goin to take pictures of the stuff i have sao far.

Thanks, and wish me luck. hopefuly if will turn out great

Looks good. You may want to hold off on the UV sterilizer. It's not really necessary, unless you're battling Green Water.

Actually only 4 post from you if don't include that one. And Crazie.eddie responded to you. No one is destroying your thread...

Anyway! Is this a bow 55 gallon? In the pictures it looks like it, possibly just me seeing this. I'm not too good with hard scapes but that piece in the middle she moved more to the left or right. It is also a really bulky piece. Good start nonetheless.

In my opinion towels are not a good hardscape item.

Heh...

Neat equipment, quite a bit of filtration, eh? Any ideas on what you're going to stock in there?

Not to knock the Dr. Foster and Smith system, but I have a Rex Grigg regulator and I think it might be a better option. The one you're looking at is quite expensive, although it does come with a pH controller.

I'm guessing alot of members, myself included, were just waiting for more updates and progress pictures on your setup before commenting.

I dont see any destruction in the fact that not many replied on your thread. (It's not like you asked any real questions)

Build it and they will come. Looks like you're off to a good start.

Sometimes people like to only visit recent threads as they have their thread listed in reverse chronological order. They may not even have had the chance to see what you posted because there are so many threads, especially in the photo album section.

I would have never seen your thread if it wasn't on the first page. I don't think anyone is trying to be discouraging of your thread, it's just that they're waiting for more updates or haven't had the chance to visit.

I think your tank is off to a good start. Can't much since you have a towel substrate, but the wood arrangement is good. Maybe someone with more aquascaping skill can comment on that. Keep taking nice pictures of your nice tank.

Von: Don't worry bro. I started my journal out the same way with pre-setup pictures and such and didn't really get much feedback until getting water in the tank.
You have some nice stuff going so far. Personally I'm not too big on the hardscape but it depends on the look you are going for. I can see lots of stem plants and kind of a jungle feel once everything grows in. The pieces you have are a good height for the tank and they way they are positioned gives a pretty good perception of depth. Honestly though that rock in the middle would freak me the #$% out. Its making me cringe just thinking about it slipping and popping the glass.

Do you already have a good idea of what kind of plants you are going to use?
