My barrel pond and NYC garden

A few pics of my small barrel pond and garden in NYC. There is concrete under the deck so I can only have a container garden.

The pics are from this past summer. I drained the barrel for the winter as the ice would crack the barrel. It is a light fiberglass barrel from the Home Depot. I also had rosy minnows in it as well.

Thanks. I got the rosy red minnows at petco. They are more of a white/pink color and they are only 20 cents each.

Looks great! Did you have to do anything special to get the lily to flower? I had a couple of lilies in my container pond - and no flowers over the summer .

Didn't do anything special, it did have a few buds on it when i bought it, but I had several flowers (one at a time) throughout the summer (more than the buds it came with) and it continued to grow quite well. I did use Tetra Pond Lily Grow tabs and that was it.
