Noob

So, I am new to this forum. I took down my saltwater tanks because I didn't have the time for them and set up a little OC 30 planted cube instead. Honestly, I like it better than my saltwater tanks. Here are just a few pictures I have, I am going to clean it up tomorrow and maybe rearrange so I will post more pictures soon! Looking forward to talking with everyone on this forum!

I need a background for the tank, any ideas? I don't like the fake ones. I was thinking fiberglass/foam tree roots?

Wow, you have quite a nice tank, especially for a beginner

Some people just paint the back of the tank black to make the fish/plant colors pop out.

Thanks! I was the head of the fish department in a fish store for 6 years, that is why I'm having so much beginners luck! This is my first planted tank and definitely not the 1st. I already have an idea for a 2nd tank that I will set up as soon as I get settled into a house.

Interesting tank, the windelov seems very happy.
What substrate are you using? Any other tank specs? How long has it been set-up? Do you have CO2?
BTW, if you would like this thread moved to the photo album, shoot me a PM.

Oh, and welcome

Walter

Cool tank for a first timer. I was never a fan of those algae balls though. They look weird to me..

If you have a bigger tank, you can move a few of those rainbows out.. They'd much prefer a bigger tank to swim around.
