I am in the final planning stages of a new aquascape for my in-wall show tank. I envision it being a more "loose" version of a dutch style tank. Maybe a cross between a dutch style aquarium and an Amano "natural" aquarium. My plant selection is somewhat set in stone, but I am open to any and all suggestions on what will work and what won't. Also, what maintainence issues should I be concerned with (for instance, I plan on using Corkscrew Val, but it will be potted to help prevent runners from taking over the tank). Here is a VERY rough drawing looking from the front.
The aquarium is an Oceanic 110 gallon with the dimension of 60.5L x 18.5W x 23H " with all the trimmings (CO2, 3 WPG, ferts, etc.)
The water parameters will be ~6.8 pH, 6 KH, ~30 ppm CO2, ~75 degrees)
I am particularly open to suggestions for the middle plant, currently listed as Aponogeton crispus.
Some other plants I may use as filler where needed in no particular order are:
Vallisneria americana ''mini twister''
Anubias barteri "petite"
Java Fern "Red"
Tonina fluviatilis (perhaps someday if I ever decide to soften the water column from what is listed)
Your feedback and suggestions are appreciated.
