New Amazon Swords

Just got these from a member on here. Enjoy! And I'm open to suggestions as to what to put in the back left corner. Has to be something that won't have issues with being close to a heater. I'll have a different filter setup on that side, too..same as the right side...XP3.

I think you should switch the intake and wher the water gets shot out on the filters so that the intake is hidden, because it is very annyoing to me in all tanks, not just yours

OMG they look amazing in your tank! I vote to put the 3rd one on the left corner I'm so happy to see them in that nice, big tank.

It's annoying to me, too! The one on the left will be gone soon. The one on the right..I guess I could slide it over a little now. Got those ugly heaters, too.

There's no way to put it there safely away from the filter intake right now. I'm giving it to a friend, and maybe he either won't like it or it will outgrow his tank and I can get it back. haha I should be getting that other filter next week.

Looking good. The swords do fill in that space nicely.
As for hiding the heaters, if they are fully submersible, I put them down low, and horizontally makes them easier to hide. Also I really recommend these heater guards:

Cheap way to prevent burns.

^ the picture isn't working. I'll look into it tomorrow at the LFS.

They are fully submersible, but I'll have to remove my canopy and drain some water to reach that low, so I'll wait for my next water change day. That's what I had to do to plant the swords yesterday. :-)

ANy plant should be fine near the heater.
cool thing about water, the heat pretty much stays the same throughout.

it will be a little warm near the heater, but the plants should be fine. I've always just tried to hide the heater with a plant.

One suggestion, could you keep most of your smaller updates in one big thread?
That way-
1) it's easier to follow, and
2) it keeps it pretty organized.

I've had 2 whole update threads, as far as I know. I posted an update on my fish selection on an already existing thread. The rest of my threads have been questions about specific fish, equipment, etc. I don't see what the big deal is.

Ok, just a suggestion it was.

I was just reffering to the thread when you added onions, you could make that a "journal" with all the updates in there.

either way's fine, Just don't want to miss anyting.

Maybe I will. It's just that the journal threads end up being so long that they're skipped over a lot, esp. newbs just browsing. I know I did. :-)
