now the girlfriends planted tank 10g

So this is my first planted tank. I decided to go high tech as I dont want to dose excel all the time. Just added plants today. I will get the tank cycled before I add any fish. Here is a list of equipment.
10 gallon tank
2 finnex planted plus
Zoomed 501 filter
pressurized co2
eco complete and flora max

Any and all feedback welcome. Thanks to all that have answered many of my questions.

Nice looking tank, particularly like the plant selection. I could see it looking great with a nice carpet of short plants in the empty spot in the center of the foreground. As a first timer, how hard was it to start with CO2? Is that the diffuser on the right side of the pic?

The capsule thing on the right is a co2 meter/checker. Being new to it I wanted to be able to gauge how much I was putting in the tank. I will remove it once I am completely done stocking with plants and fish. I won't be adding fish for a while. I must say co2 is not as scary as it appears. It's pretty easy to setup. Just not very cheap to get started. In the long run it will cost less from what I have read. I also prefer med to high light plants that require a more atomized co2 over a liquid like excel. If you can afford it I would do co2. I went with the 5lb tank as I will eventually get a bigger tank. If you are only gonna run a small setup there are a lot of good co2 set ups that run off paintball canisters. I do plan to fill in the center. I'm just not sure what I want. I will probably change the setup a little once I get other ideas.

Looks good, can't wait till the plants fill in. How do you like the Planted plus?

So far so good on the planted plus. It seems to be enough light. The true test will be the next couple of months.

1-19-14 update

Tank seems to be doing good. So I have 7 ruby red and 7 green neon tetra. 2 amano shrimp and a assassin snail. Plants are growing well. I am getting some string hair algae but the shrimp are working on that. I did order another planted plus. I feel I have to much shading on the back ground plants.

New pics. Girlfriend is now in control of this tank. I moved up to a 40g. She decided to get rid of some plants and add some she wanted. The tank still has the fish but the amano shrimp died due to a ph drop. Oops :-( all is good now just need to do the weekly water changes. Well enjoy.

I like what she's done with the place!

What kind of plant is that in the front right corner?

She's happy with it. I think it's a compacta or something along that. It came potted. The planted plus really brought out the Reds and purples in the leaves.

Believe it or not it's the plant in the top photo on the left. We originally thought it was going to die.

Oh wow, I have some of that, didnt even recognize it. Believe it's Compact Corymbosa.

Mine looks more like the top photo. It's only about a month old, just recently moved it to a higher light tank. It was growing more tall than bushy. I hope it grows similar to yours now, those look great.
