Are you using up Aqua simple regulator? If so is it stable? Because I'm considering the regulator

I'm pretty sure it's not the simple one. It's a few years old, has 2 large dials and a solenoid which broke. Sticky magnet. They have a new design now but I can't vouch for it.

looking very nice

how are you liking that lily pipe and filter combo? is it providing enough flow to the end of the tank?

i personally wish the left rock stands out a bit too much imo. the right is very soft and natural looking while the left looks a bit more sharp and rough.. but just me though.

good job!

Good observations.

The flow is adequate but not what I was expecting. I think it is because my pipes diameter is so small, flow is restricted. I wanted more surface movement. Time will tell.

Also spot on with the stones. The sharp ones were from my first tank, and the rounded one is Sieryu. It was hard to source pointy rocks so I wanted to put them in. Maybe think of it as Ying & Yang haha.

Put a little wd-40 on the shaft. that fixed my sticky solenoid.

beautiful scape btw!

wait, correct me if im wrong.. isn't your filter the eheim 2213 which uses the 13mm??
i think i might be confused-sorry in advanced!

and i just realized that your tank is the same dimensions for a 60F which is crazy because i thought your tank was much smaller.. haha like my 3 gallon long or something like that.

gnod, Yes it uses 13mm but I used a downsizing Ehiem tap to change the tubing size.
I don't want to use 13mm lily pipes because they will just look too large in my tank.

It's pretty small, I move alot, this size is managable!

+1 it does look beautiful but I have to agree the left stone stands out. Almost looks like a totally different stone compared to the right ones. The others are more rounded and refined and the left one looks sharp.
But it Is a great start can't wait to see it fill in. It might end up looking totally different once the plants grow in.

Great job

Gnod yes it does create the vortex however with evaporation the tank water level is always changing and that stops the vortex. Need an auto top off to have the consistent vortex.
