Though I've had many aquariums thru the years and in the process allowed many aquarium plants to wither and die in those aquariums, this has been my first foray into planted aquaria in a serious way, AND this is the first time I've had plants that I haven't managed to kill in the process! AND I'm tickled pink about that!
I'm working with a 29 gal and a 55 gal.
* the tanks are each lighted with a 2 x 55 watt Bright Kit from AH Supply
* Flourite substrate
* Pressurized CO2 injected via reactor on the output of XP canister filters (xp1 in the 29, xp2 in the 55)
* EI dosing w/macros M,W,F & micros T,Th,S and 50% WC on Sun.
As of yet, no real attempts as 'scaping beyond the "Jungle Look" ... but as it looks like I'll be able to keep plants alive I'm entertaining the idea that I can do more than just stuff them in the bottom and let them grow.
The 55 has 8 mollies, 2 gouramis, 18 neons and 6 ottos
The 55 - May 20 '07
Left Side - Jun 25 '07
Right Side - Jun 25 '07
Anyway, I'm having a ball, learning A LOT from this and other forums and just getting into the swing of this "planted thing"
Thanks for looking
