Lightbulb Seedless :)

I've always loved aquariums, this year I decided to do something a little different, I started with saltwater tanks but since I relocated the area I live in doesn't offer a great selection on fish or coral but I did find a nice pet store with an amazing plant selection, so for the first time I'm doing a planted fresh water tank and I couldn't be more excited

Tank: tetra 20g high 12"D x 24"W x 16"H

Filtration & equipment : Tetra whisper ex20 - I only run puregen
Tetra 1000w heater for 20g tank

Lighting: 2 24"in finnex fugerays 112 x 7000k 8 x actinic blues light

Substrate: Ada Aqua soil Amazonia

Plants: I have a lot of plants i don't know the names of them but maybe you guys could give me some insight on them I will post picture later

Fish: 2 German blue rams, 2 kuhlii loaches, 1 electric blue jack Dempsey, 2 pea puffers, 1 ghost shrimp, and 1 fresh water crab

Well like I said I'm new to the planted tanks so any advice and help is greatly appreciated lets me know if I'm missing anything for a successful tank , also I do a 50% water change every week idk if this help any also I stated the tank on Oct 22 thanks for reading my thread on my tank

Planted tanks = My new love

UPDATE: i have added the picture give me some feed back please on what you guys think

welcome to your new addiction..... those pea puffers can get pretty aggressive and may kill the shrimp and harass the other. fish hopefully they all live peacefully in your tank. i have to keep them separate. They are usually very social and can do well in large groups.... Good luck and enjoy

It has been almost a month for your tank. Dont you see any algae growing yet? Everything looks great to me but id look into co2 and dry fert dosing to fasten up the growing rate. And the dwarf hc on the left side should be splited into small pieces (less than quater sizes) and plant them everywhere if you want a carpet. I heard it spread faster that way.

No offense but the fish and inverts you chose are a horrible combination. Electric blue jack dempseys are a sensitive species. My experience is they will not get as big as a regular jack, but it will out grow your aquarium or die relatively quickly.

Pea puffers and loaches eat invertebrates. Shrimp, crabs, and snails are food. Actually you need to feed the pea puffers snails to keep their teeth ground down.

The crabs need a piece of land that they can climb onto.

Rams are actually a good choice if you ditch the rest. You could trade the rest back in and get a nice little school of tetras or some cories or ottos.
