29g Low light Scape

Here is a picture of my 29g low maintenance tank.

The plants consist of: Java ferns, crypts, anubias nana, and weeping moss.

Fish: 3 Apistogramma biteaniata, 1 otto

This tank has been up and running for almost 3 years. This is one of many stages this tank has gone through. This is one of my favorite looks for it so far.

I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do. It is also so much easier to maintain than my hightech tanks.

Very nice for a lowtek, I can tell it looks even better in person. I have no place to criticize this, but I would personally put some taller plants in the corners.

It's even more relaxing to look at knowing it's low tech.

Looks very nice. I'd like to see it when the moss and microsorium grows out more.

How about some schooling fish?

How many watts do I need to make my swimming pool a high light tank?

Looks great. I think it looks fine. More moss on the wood and just let the java fern and anubias grow out more...
Might consider a school of fish, but something that doesn't stand out too much. Maybe black neons or phantom tetras. Possibly get some ottos or amanos.

My original plan for this tank about a year and half a go was to breed my apistos. I tried everything short of RO. I actually tried RO but the unit I had was old and not worth replacing the 10 yr old membrane that had never been backwashed.

I actually have a pvc cave in there and a small flower pot cave... just incase they change there minds.

I have planned on getting a RO filter for well over a year but I haven't had the extra cash to buy one.

I still have hope that I will get baby apistos in this tank so I will probably not add any schoolers. This really isn't a contest scape or anything. I mean I barelly look at this tank when compared to the crazy time I have with my 60g iwagumi and my Mini M.

I didn't take any closeups because its not finished. I jst didn't think it was worth it.

The brwon in the front is diatoms. A week ago that are was a thinner layer of soilmaster select. I moved the SMS and replaced it with sand and it covered the diatoms. Its not mulm build up yet. I get that later.

I haven't added any fish since... december 05. Why risk it since I don't have a quarantine tank.
