2 shrimp pics

Took a couple shots of some RCS in my 10 gal:

Photo setup is a Canon Rebel XT w/ a Canon 100mm macro EF lens. No additional light other than tank lighting. Run through PS to correct contrast and slight bump in sharpness.

Here's a shot of the tank -

Coralife Aqualight 20" w/ 28w 6500K bulb
ZooMed 501 filter

Anubias "petite"
Java moss

Red Cherry Shrimp
Pond snails

The anubias and harigrass is temporary until I can get my 4g set up. The moss is attached to big chunks of Malaysian driftwood.

Yeah. Shallow depth of field + hand held long lens + relatively low light makes + nervous hands makes for some blur. Still experimenting with the lens to see what I can and can't get away with.

Thanks for the tip.

That's a great setup, have the exact same thing myself and you can get some great pics with it. I agree with subotaj though, increasing your aperture setting will improve your depth of field and let you get the whole shrimp in focus. At the same time it will increase your need for more light so if you want to take great pics get ready to spend a little more money.
