20 gallon long L-46 zebra tank

I setup a 20 gallon long (30" x 12" x 12") using Diaz black sand (about the size of pool filter sand) and slate caves I made for my L-046 zebra juvenile plecos.

I put some plantlets, clippings, bleached survivors (from staghorn) that came from my 125 into here to see if they grow out again.

Tank: 20 gallon long (30" x 12" x 12")
Lighting: 1 wpg
Filter: Eheim Ecco 2234 with Hydor ETH 200 (200 watt) inline heater
Temp: 82°F
Substrate: Diaz black sand (about the size of pool filter sand)
Ferts: N/A
CO2: N/A
Inhabitants: L-046 juvenile zebra plecos, 4 otocinlcus, 10+ RCS.
Plants: Java fern, Crypt, Cabomba (have more sitting in a 5.5 gallon),

I know it's kind of plain Jane, so it's open to suggestions.

You can see them in the 2 caves on the right. They're still juveniles, about 1.75". Here's a closer look...

Yes, eventually. I can't afford adult size zebras, so I just buy juveniles and grow them out. As they become adults, I plan to move them into a 40 gallon breeder.

I rescaped the tank a bit with some plants I got through the Swap N Shop. It looks a little better, but I still don't like it. The only part I like is the right side. The rest still looks blah. I'm open to suggestions.

Cool tank. Those fish are so beautiful I wouldn't know the first thing about keeping them alive. I would love to though. Good luck breeding them!
