I'd guess the plants are cheaper, but some of the fish are more expensive,
due to the fact that so many FW fish come from central and south America.
Thanks for sharing that cultural exchange. I have a Japanese owned LPS
that looks similar, only he does not bother putting gravel in the fish tanks.
I wish American LPS did a better job selling/displaying their plants. most of
the plant display tanks I've seen are dark algae/snail infested toilets.

I've never been to this LFs (indeed, I'm not even sure where this is) but when I when I lived in Japan this summer, I went to Shinjuku Aquaforest all the time. The selection and quality of fish, plants, shrimp, and even nerites was great. Though everything is there, it's just different as far as prices are concerned. At 600 yen, I thought the price for a bunch of hemianthus micranthemoides was pretty out there. HC and Eusteralis were also really expensive compared to prices through trade here. However, I thought it was cool that I could buy a huge bunch of R. najenshan for 250 yen (on sale from a normal 350 which is still good IMO). Also you can get a lot of grade C bee shrimp for pretty damn cheap. It's just a different market.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing.

BTW, if anyone wants to visit a similar LFS's in Southern LA - Neptune's Reef is a must! Very similar style to the one shown above, except it includes SW as well.

Prices are a little higher but quality is A++. The place is made from all wood and the tanks are all clean and the fish never die after bought unless buyer doesnt know how to take care of them. ADA will always be cheaper here than the US. I will post more picture of the 120cm ADA tanks and 90cm tanks they have.

looks like a nice place, what i think is nice is that it looks very natural, not like most lfs in the US around me. there it looks like there is all wood, here there is plastic and lots of it!

on a side note\ is everyones lfs that bad around them? if so i should consider myself very luckey, the manager of the fish room is a great guy really into fish tanks, there is a FW section and SW section that has all diffrent things from coral reefs, fowlr, planted tanks, regular FW tanks, just got rid of the brackish tank but that was cool too. they have probably 500g+ of planted tanks. i think around four 75g tanks and the manager is setting up a 150g moss tank! to show people how good easy tanks are, and then there is a nice display tank with plastic plants, which i actually like

back on topic\

those are great shots! i really do like all the wood and stuff. i would be willing to bet that the market is just overall diffrent over there so some prices will be same, some diffrent, and some very very cheap and very very expensive.

great shots. thanks for sharing them with us. because i know most of us on here probably havent gone to japan to go to get some fish... lol

Wow,the LFS looks really well maintained. Things are placed in such an orderly manner and everywhere looks so clean. Unlike some LFS around here whereby things are so disorganised and you can even find dried, dead fishes on the floor.
