Retrospective close-ups from my 33 gal.

Here's six of my favourites taken over the last three years. All shots taken using a basic compact digital camera (2 and 5MP) with aquarium lighting only.

I am looking forward to planting my empty tank again by which time I hope to have a DSLR (Canon 350D). My journal is here - https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/ph...m-journal.html

Great macros, healthy plants and fish. Pocket camera in good hands can beat good camera in bad hands

I've seen that picture of the Hydrocotyle leucocephala in one of the photo albums (or somewhere else) on this site, and I actually snagged it as my desktop background because I liked it so much!!! It might have been in the "Show me your bubbles" thread. Anyhow, all your shots look awesome - and I hope you don't mind that I used your pick for my background. My coworkers have given me lots of complements on it.

Tell me you're a professional photographer because those shots really look awesome. The choice of things to shoot were really great. And all the shots were taken at their finest moments. I also saw the shot of your Hydrocotyle leucocephala in the "show me your bubbles" section and i was really impressed by it. Managed to overcome the urge to set it as my wallpaper. Perhaps you may want to submit it to microsoft since it is in such high demand so that they could use it on their future computer productions.Just joking, very well done=)

lol. Thank you for your kind words.

Not a pro by a long shot. I work on the principle that if I take enough photographs then they'll be a few good ones. The digital camera can be a wonderful thing!

I do hope to improve my skills and hardware soon for my journal.
