My 12 Eclipse Planted

Hello all, I recently rescaped my 12 gallon and I wanted opinions. It's a very simple, low-tech setup. I have 13 watts of light, substrate is Flourite covered by pool filter sand. I have 6 White Cloud Minnows, 3 African Dwarf Frogs, 2 Otos, and a dozen or so ghost shrimp. Any and all comments are encouraged.
Plants: Crypts, Java Fern, Anubias, and Java Moss.
Thanks!

After:

Driftwood w/ Anubias

Driftwood w/ frog

I have a 12 gallon with flourite just like this - AND it has white clouds in it! Great little system eh? Perhaps great minds think alike! I keep moss on driftwood, anubias, java fern, najas grass, and bolbitus in mine... doesn't look nearly as nice as this. Your tank is beautiful! How long have you been up and running?

W.o.W. that looks sharp! As mentioned, there is a great, great contrast from the sand to the plants.

Just to warn you about the sand....if you haven't used it yet....it really loses it's "shine" after a few weeks/months. Check out the 29 low light journal below to see the difference if you're interested.

Good luck, and again nice job!

Thanks all! The tank has been running for a little over a year, but I switched from gravel to sand in the beginning of May. It is a pain to keep clean (with all the fish poop lol) but I think it's worth it. All the girls in my dorm love to come and look at it, so I feel like it's finally paying off. Not only do I get to enjoy it, but so does my roomie and the other girls in my dorm (I go to Miami of Ohio).
Thanks for all the encouragement!

Oh fish newb - My frogs love the plants. I have had them for about 2.5 years and they have never messed with any of my plants. Maybe I just got nice frogs : )
