My 20gal and 10gal.

I just started a 20gal Nisso planted aquarium with a 5lb bottle of CO2, ADA CO2 system, at 1 bb every 2 sec. Aqua Soil, Green Brighty step 1 everyday, 2 20w ADA lights. Plants are Water Hyssop, Blyxa Japonica, Petita Nana, Glosso, Willow Moss, Nesaea Red, and one plant in the left hand back side of the tank I cant name. My 10gal tank is for breeding Cherry shrimp and it has 11 baby cherry shirmp, and plants are Water Hyssop, Blyxa Japonica, hair grass. Co2 is Tetra optima self inject system. 20w light sytem. I just want some feed back on what you think and what can be improved. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...e/DSC00980.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...e/DSC00988.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...e/DSC00989.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...e/DSC00981.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j3...e/DSC00986.jpg

1 bubble per 2 seconds...I'd consider increasing that to 1 per sec or even 2 per sec. The landscaping looks great though. Hopefully you'll have enough wpg of lighting, ADA reflects light pretty well.

Just increased the bubbles 1 per sec. Thanks! I just bought a new 90cm x 45cm x 45cm or 55gal ADA tank and was wondering what the bubble rate should be? Thanks.

90 cm ada tank...those things are amazing. For the bubble rate, I would consider around 4 bps. Feel free to experiment though, if you see your fish at the surface, then lower it down a little. To accurately determine the rate, you can test the water's co2, but I'd suggest just estimating it. Search the forums a little and you should be able to find better help.

Ya, they won't interbreed and they're both friendly. Lots of people on this forum breed them together. The sticky post in the shrimp forum recommends breeding CRS's in a tank >20gal and ike lower temperatures. I only breed cherries so I would suggest checking that article out. https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...-breeding.html
