Talking New Update on my 60 Gallon

https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/ph...lots-pics.html

I've been so immersed in work it seems like forever , so it's been a long time since I've been able to post any progress on my tank. The last thread (above link) I had some people suggest starting a journal so here it is.

Edit: I thought a Journal was a thread. So I started a journal as well. I'm not really sure what a journal really is

I rearranged the tank, had a couple of causalities, added some new fish and started on my canopy

I still have to rip down the lid, wire the moon lights, and do the finish work. Damn it's been a lot of work and I'm still not done . It's also been a great pleasure watching it develop and change.

I'm looking for some ideas on how to add some more plants to it that these fish wont tear apart (If thats possible)

Tank Occupants:
2 - 6" Plecos
1 - 3" red Devil
1 - 2" Jaguar
1 - 2" Jack Dempsey (My Buddies and is not a permanent resident)
1 - 2" Green Texas
1 - 2" Blue Acara

Equipment:
Aqua Clear 500
Aqua Clear 70 Power Head
250 Watt Heater
80 Watts of Std. Fluorescent Lighting
Sand Substrate

Plants:
4 Swords of some sort, not really sure what kind they are. Pets-Mart doesn't tell you anything, but is really the only LFS that has plants here.

I'm working on test results and should have them in a couple of days. For now all i have is a KH and GH test kit,
KH = 6 (107.6)
GH = 4 (71.6)

Thanks for any feedback and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do

Support our Troops, they fight for our right to enjoy these kind of hobbies and soooo many other wonderful things. God Bless America

i really like the hardscape.

1 criticism, but it's not about the tank. probably 20% of the posters here are from outside the states.

Thanks, Glad you like the tank.

As for your criticism, it is defiantly not meant in any way to offend any one outside of this country, or in this country that doesn't agree.
I'm really, here lately, felling extremely blessed for what I have in my life.
In the neighborhood I live in the police put it on the line every night they come across the tracks, and I have friends in the USMC.

So no offense meant I'm just a proud American who owes...

it's cool. just thought i'd throw it out there to chew on. who am i to tell anyone what to do? it's good that you're proud. the only reason i mentioned it is that i have a lot of friends that live overseas, and they say their #1 problem with americans is that they're ethnocentric. on the other hand, it's good to be happy with where you reside. anyway, this belongs in a completely different forum so i'll stop.

is your water cloudy or is it a glow from the lighting?

Not really sure if the lighting is causing some of that, but that big piece of driftwood is still tinting the water a little. I think that is the biggest cause. The pics are also only about 2 hours after I rearranged the tank so that probably contributed to it also.

I know, but my LFS (Petsmart) doesn't have a very good selection and the one store here in town doesn't have squat I want to get some online just seems like every time I come here and find something that I like I'm too late.

Not sure, but I'd like to find out if someone would fork over some advice

It's a really nice Camera "Sony CyberShot H5" http://www.digitalcamera-hq.com/digi...5_reviews.html It belongs to my mother. Not quite in my budget yet.
The tank has always had a tint to it, but these were taken just after I rearranged it. My planted tank is super clear, so I believe it's the log that tints the water.

I find it refreshing that people are proud of their country. Being a disabled vet, it makes me proud.
