Cannonj22's attempt

Hey guys,

just wanted to know what you thought. I just got a bunch of plants and dumped them in. I'll see how the scape develops, but let me know what you think. All criticism is welcome and appreciated.

Thanks!

Joe

gotta love those altums!! The scape will turn into a scape with time...one suggestion...spread out those bunch plants just a tad bit more...they look a little too clustered. Nice work.

Re-boot!

I sure hope the moss you used in the foreground will turn out well in time to come. Currently it is brownish and stuff. I love the altums too.

I love the altums....tank looks decent. One suggestion, and it could be the camera or whatever, but your light looks really yellow. If it were my tank, I'd move into a higher, whiter, crisper looking spectrum. Maybe a 10K bulb or two in there somewhere. That's my personal aesthetic opinion.

In college....so no aquariums for a while.....

thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments. Concerning the moss, does anyone know of a good way to grow it? For the life of me, I can grow all kinds of "difficult" plants, but have seriously trouble growing java moss and java fern. Any suggestions?

I know the scape looks clumped right now. I just left everything in their bunches and didn't bother to separate the stems. It looks a lot better now since the cabomba and the indica has done it's phototaxis thing and is standing upright.

I agree wholeheartedly about the color. I would much rather appreciate white light than the pinkish color that came with the supplemental T5 fixture I put in there. It has one 6700 and one 10,000. I've been searching for another of the 10,000 but to no luck so far.

I'll try and post more pictures to come.

Thanks,

Joe
