Our 135G Update

Been pretty busy and haven't posted in a while so here is an updated picture of our 135 gallon tank:



Since I last posted we've battled green water, several kinds of algae, and some bacterial outbreaks. The tank has gotten a very natural look to it as the plants have grown in. We're slowly starting to learn how to control the alage. Here are some updated pictures of some of the inhabitants:







This forum has been a very good resource whenever we've ran into problems. Thanks.

some ricca tied to the wood would look really nice..

75 gallon, fillstar xp2 with inline reactor, 12 Lb pressurised co2, 4.2 WPG-corallife 3x96 watt PC-, fluorite/silica-sand substright.

Thanks for the compliments. We've tried using Java Moss on the wood before but it didn't look very good. Might have to do some experimenting again with softening some of the hardscaping. We'll keep you posted.

What are your specsif you don'tmind me asking, as in lighting, equipment and fert dosing schedule

I think that's a great look you have going there. Very natural looking. Wish I could convince myself to limit my plant choices.

Thanks again. Here are some of the specs:

Substrate: 100% Flourite
Lighting: ~200 Watts Coralife CF
Filtration: 2x Eheim Professional II, Coralife UV Steralizer

Plants: Val, Echin, Anub

Params: pH ~8, temp 87.

Ferts: a little bit of Sea-Chem Flourish and Sea-Chem Iron. Water changes 15% twice a week.
