Looks over stocked.... I like the layout though.

That is amazing, but it does look over stocked, but hey, if it is working for you, awesome!

I like your tank. It also makes me sad to see such beautiful fish with no room to swim. The competition in that tank is probably way to high. I would sell/give away more than half those fish and/or buy a new tank.

Peace,
Ry

yeah, I am about to move the 5 of the 4-5 inchers into the 200 gallon, this 45 gal is a tank to grow up 2 inch discus till they reach a 4-5 inch then move them to the 200

actually thats a good point, an adult discus needs a minimum of 10 gal per fish, mine is not a tank to follow

hey...my algae pearls

Talk about rush-hour! But I really like layout, very nice use of color and contrast. My only suggestion would be to move the Discus out, I really like the Snowflake.

Really nice looking tank but I would watch the load of waste real careful as any sign of stress on the discus and it will stun them for life.

I've always found that a great way to really boost up the grow out process is by doing water changes daily...big ones. I had a group of half dollar sized altum angels that I had for only 5 months and they at least quadrupled in size. Obviously at that age their growth rate is accelerated anyway, but it was still really fast. I was doing 50% changes daily and feeding like 6 times a day. I realize that not everyone has the time to do it, but it worked like a charm for me.
