My first planted tank

75 gal tank, wet/dry filter, 260 watt light, pressurized CO2.

This is after I moved the tank from Craig, CO to Riverton, WY two and half months ago. I wish I would of taken a picture before I had moved. I want to put some sort of tall grass in the left hand corner; I am just not sure what grass I want. I have also thought about putting in some ricca. I had tried some glosso, but the fish pulled it all out ; so I have given up on it. I want to add some drift wood one of these days when I find something I like at the LFS.

I have some black algae between the glass and the substrate that I would like to get rid of.

How are you introducing the CO2 and measuring how much you have in the water? What is your fertilizing routine? That's a nice looking tank, but that big sword plant is going to drive you batty one of these days! Enjoy it now.

I use a diy inline reactor, and I have no idea how much co2 I am adding into my tank. I just look at the bubble counter and if it looks like a good flow rate I go with that. One of these days I need to get something to measure it with. I am adding 2 tablespoons of Leaf Zone once a week; twice a week I add 1/2 teaspoon of KN03 (Potassium Nitrate) and 1/4 teaspoon of Kh2S04 (Mono Potassium Phoshate). That is when I remember to add it.

What do you mean by; that big sword plant is going to drive you batty one of these days?

Swords just get bigger and bigger. Isn't your wet/dry outgassing CO2?

In no aquariums for a while.....
