I like it too! Jungle tanks always get my attention. I love the brazillian pennywort you have in the middle too!

If I could harness the power of the sun, I'd focus it on my plants and watch them grow.

This is when slower growing plants start to be welcomed into your tank.

You probably have to add KNO3 about every 15 minutes with all of that!

Nice, Mark . It's been a while since I grew mats of that stuff. I got waaaay to lazy to keep up with it....but, what a plant. Makes algae go away, and does a great job boosting the confidence of a newb (for me, anyway).

by far the best confidence builder out there. I got a bush of giant and sunset mixed. I love it.

Peace,
Ry

This may sound like a dumb question, but which one is the Hygro? I'm a n00b to all these plant names... Your post here really caught my attention when you mention it eliminates algae... as I have lots... and lots of it...

In bastalker's, the masses on either side.
In uni's, the lighter colored mass in the right top third.

Thanks filipnoy85. It is fixin to be thinned out here real soon though.

Wasser I am looking at some various plants at the moment. I really want to get some sticks in there with some anubias also.

John P Thats pretty close!

I am gonna hook the KN03 to an I.V. bottle an start a nitrate drip!!

Curare Awsome lookin tank!! What kind of hygro was that? I want some!

Uni Nice lookin bush!! This stuff is a great confidence builder for sure! Like you though, I am beginning to get tired of the constant trimming. Like Wasser said, slower growing plants would be a nice welcome.... I would really like to slow things down a tad.

So what do I do? Get some hydrocoytle an ludwiga an put it in there..

Ryzilla I will trade ya all my hygro for your sunset!!

Thanks eds ya beat me to that reply..I had this all typed out ready ta go right before you posted, and I think I hit the back button an erased it all.. .

Youve heard of pilates? I get the hygro trimming cardio workout...

I think I will have to get some of this just incase something goes wrong with my 50g. I've got some emersed stems growing out in my back yard, but the weather hasn't warmed up enough yet for it to start growing back.

Bstalker, you'll be hearing from me soon as I may need at least 30-50 stems.

My red sunset seems to be growing well in my 30g, but it sheds quite a few leaves.
Not so many as to look spindly - just enough that I pull a few floaters out just about daily.
Is this common for this plant?
