dude this tank is NICE! the wallichi looks nice and full!
one suggestion...the foregrown looks kind of messy/sparce
maybe sticking to two dominant foreground that can fill in the front like glosso or hairgrass!

I'm always in shock when "newbies" arrive with such incredible skills. My first question is always, "where the heck have you been"? . A truly wonderful Dutch aquascape. A lot of times folks use the word Dutch to describe a loose assortment of every plant they could get their hands on. Your aquarium reminds me that Amano does not have a monopoly on beautiful aquaria. You should really enter your shrimp photo into the planted tank photo contest .

A question: What is the name of stem plant with the red tips (left of center), and what creates that red coloration?

Thanks for sharing, KungPao.

Ted

hi thank you all for the wonderful comments! To answer your question the plant is good ol rotala indica! Goes to show what (very) high light and Co2 can do.

Love the tank!

Just curious, did you take out your filter for the pic? I didn't see one anywhere Maybe that's the point...

What's the bright green clump front and center? Is that carnal plant (Lobelia cardinalis)? I got ahold of a teeny tiny sprig of that and it took me months to id.

moss is not difficult to grow at all. I had lots of problems and tried just about everything (or atleast i thought) before my moss started to grow. Untill one day someone simply told me to "lower the temperature". Since then my moss has been growing like crazy.

I agree. It would fill up that little spot nicely. Other than that, the tank is pretty nice.
