Good start, although I would suggest more stem plants. I like how the dwarf hairgrass looks against the driftwood. Keep it coming, you are off to a great start with the help of great people!

Thanks for the tip. I'll look around for more stem plants to help with the startup of my tank. I want to prevent as much algae as possible.

Good luck with your tank man. Hawai'i aquascaping keeps getting more interesting.

sound like you got everything you need for a really nice tank! Great start...
You must have spent some big $ for all that fluorite.. I used 50/50 fluorite and gravel in my 75 gallon, and it cost me like 80$

75 gallon, fillstar xp2 with inline reactor, 12 Lb pressurised co2, 4.2 WPG-corallife 3x96 watt PC-, fluorite/silica-sand substright.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. I'm hoping that the HC floating on the top will grow big enough so I can plant it in a week. The tank looks so plain without any foreground plants.

Don't even remind me on how much I spent on Flourite alone. haha. I spent way more on this tank than I had planned. I have 120 lbs of flourite. Hopefully it'll pay off in the end.

$1,000 for custom tank and stand, 2 fluvals, uv sterilizer, 2 lights Hqi, power compact and t-5 fixtures, Cos tank with diffusers and all accesories, plants, and florabase. Pretty good deal I thought. The whole HC carpet got destroyed during the move though
